Zaack DUST® is a sensor designed to the dust level in the ventilation system to continuously monitor your building according to the NF EN 15780 standard.
It uses infrared technology to estimate the amount of dust in the channel. The sensor is battery operated and uses LoRa, a wireless communication technology optimized for IoT-applications (Internet of Things).
Thanks to the real-time monitoring of the dust deposits in your channels, you can schedule maintenance of the ventilation network in time, so that you always comply with the NF EN 15780 standard.
A lot can spread through the dust in the air ducts particulate matter or bio-pollutants (pollen, allergens, fungi, bacteria and viruses) spread throughout all interior spaces.
This results in reduced indoor air quality, which has a major impact on the well-being and health of the people who are exposed to it.
The NF EN 15780 standard provides official guidelines for maintaining ventilation networks to ensure high indoor air quality.
Without real-time monitoring of dust deposition in the channels thanks to Zaack DUST,there are two possible strategies for scheduling maintenance:
This means that the harm has already happened. It is a reactive action after identifying a problem, such as the decline in the functionality of the channel network. Maintenance comes too late and causes both energy loss and deteriorated indoor air quality.
This is just an estimation, so maintenance is most likely too early or too late with regard to the official guidelines and standards for maintaining ventilation networks (NF EN 15780).
With real-time monitoring thanks to Zaack DUST®, you choose the optimal strategy:
a just-in-time preventive maintenance of your installations.
